Mountain adventures for the whole family
The family-friendly destination of Melchsee-Frutt lies at 1920 metres above sea level. Since 1865, the high plateau has been a climatic health resort and inspires with its idyllic mountain lakes.
The unspoilt countryside creates the ideal environment for relaxation and is a pleasant contrast to the hectic pace of everyday life in the city. The immediate surroundings of Lucerne and Lake Lucerne offer numerous attractions, historical destinations and cultural events throughout the year.
The car-free skiing area Melchsee-Frutt stretches from 1080 m to 2255 m. The high valley with sunny winter hiking trails and cross-country ski runs is flanked by two ski areas: Balmeregghorn and Erzegg with wide and sunny slopes and the freestyle park fruttpark.ch. From Bonistock, steeper slopes lead down to Stöckalp over an altitude difference of more than 1000 metres. A "must" for tobogganists is the eight-kilometre run to Stöckalp. Children can enjoy themselves in the Fruttli Park on the magic carpet and ski carousel.

The location between the Bernese Oberland holiday destination of Hasliberg and the holiday resort of Engelberg in Central Switzerland makes Melchsee-Frutt a popular hiking area. The Hasliberg - Melchsee-Frutt - Engelberg high-altitude hike is one of the great hiking classics. The six-hour four-lake section from Melchsee-Frutt via Tannalp, Engstlenalp, Jochpass and Trübsee to Engelberg is particularly popular. In summer the Frutt is a sea of flowers. The deep blue and trout-rich Melchsee and Tannensee mountain lakes are not only popular with passionate fishermen.
